When it comes to moving to Portugal, there are so many small details that can be easily overlooked that may make a huge difference in a person's day-to-day life not to mention the preparatory stages of planning a move. Having lived abroad for more than a decade, I can say there are consistent patterns in what I see people overlooking and among the individuals who move to Portugal, I can say I've seen some of the same. If you are looking to make a life in Portugal for yourself and to become an expat in Portugal, I'll go over some of the things I often see overlooked. Is expat life in Portugal worthwhile? Yes, but it's important to get started on the right foot, sometimes almost literally.. It's important so that you can spend as much time possible enjoying life abroad living in an amazing country.
